IMAGE: A print by W. T. Horton depicting “Mammon”, the deification of greed or material wealth. William Thomas Horton (1864-1919) was a mystic, illustrator and author. Horton’s minimalistic black and white drawings bear a similarity to Aubrey Beardsley (1872 – 1898) and Charles Ricketts (1866 – 1931). Today, Horton is usually remembered in conjunction with his intimate friend W. B. Yeats. Yeats sponsored Horton’s initiation into the occult organization the Golden Dawn. He also wrote the introduction to Horton’s Book of Images (1898), and Yeats includes the illustrator in his poem about Golden Dawn called “All Souls’ Night.”

* In the case of T-Shirts, for some mysterious reason, the prices given by Zazzle for their euro currency stores are a little more expensive than their U.K. equivalent in pounds sterling (by about 5 euro). For those in the Eurozone it is is therefore a little cheaper to buy through the U.K. store! Postage is the same.
