The PDR Press is the publishing spin-off project of The Public Domain Review. Since 2014 it has published the annual Selected Essays series, which brings you the very best of our longform pieces in the form of lovingly-produced books, each essay getting a fresh edit and adorned with a whole host of newly sourced imagery. As of early 2016, the PDR Press has also started publishing New Editions, beautifully designed reprints and reworkings of public domain material. See our selection below.
The majority of the digital copies featured are in the public domain or under an open license all over the world, however, some works may not be so in all jurisdictions. On each Collections post we’ve done our best to indicate which rights we think apply, so please do check and look into more detail where necessary, before reusing.
