The Night Before Christmas (1905)
1905 version directed by Edwin S. Porter of the poem first published anonymously in 1823 and generally attributed to Clement Clarke Moore. Porter's version is the very first film adaptation of the famous tale. Musical accompaniment added later, made up mostly of old cylinder recordings from the same studio and period. (For silent version see here).
