Natalie Lawrence is a writer, researcher, and illustrator living in London. She has a MCantab in natural sciences and PhD in the history and philosophy of science from the University of Cambridge. She recently published Planta Sapiens: Unmasking Plant Intelligence (2022, Bridge Street Press) with Paco Calvo and her book _The Nature of the Beast_ (Orion Books), on the history of monstrous creatures and the imagination, will be out in 2023.
